I wonder where all the older experienced nurses who actually care about their patients went. These fresh out of college young ER nurses not only lack compassion but they are so incompetent that it is SCARY. My mom went to ER with life threatening condition that needed intervention immediately. Her primary doctor advised that her condition is very serious and needs procedure done as soon as possible or she may die that day. So, we hurried to ER and the first ER nurse by the name Ieena comes in and never introduces herself and starts IV and collects blood. I asked her if she was her nurse and explained my mom's condition exactly how her doctor advised. She responded by laughing at my face saying 'how does her doctor know that without running tests.' After that her shift was over and was giving report to oncoming nurse, and I hear her saying how they have much serious patient than my mom and gossips as if I am a overreacting lunatic. Then, new nurse comes in and I explained again, and she says, "well, she's certainly not dying right now." This was her exact word when in fact she was dying inside with severe infection with high fever with severely compromised liver functions. And again treated me like a crazy family member. Thankfully, ER and GI doctors were great and they came in and explained in detail why her condition is so serious and needs procedure immediately. She received procedure and surgery she needed and survived. Other nurses, GI (David), PACU (Julia) in highland park, and Glenbrook floor nurses were all great. But I would never ever go to Glenbrook ER again for the reasons I mentioned above. Hopefully they hire better nurses and changes ER nurses culture for better.
Everyone I've interacted with, from Doctors to office staff have demonstrated a sincere desire to make your experience as positive as possible. The efficiency and professionalism at every level is second to none.
This is the worst hospital. They do a terrible job, they charge you for tests you never needed. They don't care about you. ER department is awful, 3 times. Had knee surgery, horrible results. THEY ARE ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. I've sadly been coming here for 20 years. Will never come back. Enough is enough.
Awful service from the Medical Group. Cannot recommend against coming here strongly enough for your primary care. Appointment times are never honored and the front desk staff is rude. No communication when they are running behind schedule. Extremely inefficient in timing of appointments. Terribly run group. ER is good & fast though
I was a patient at Glenbrook and I had the worst nurse you could ever imagine. Her name was Carrie in the ER, she should definitely consider another career because this is not her calling. I was speaking with the doctor in confidence and made it know that I suffer from PTSD and she said I deserved to be yelled at. Excuse me? Who on gods either do you think you are. This will not be the last complaint i give about Carrie, even the security guard said she was a b**ch! Now thats saying something. Absolutely disgusted by her unprofessional behavior and when I said something to her I said the thing is youre a nurse and youre working you have NO right to talk to me that way. Scared as hell she ran away and I asked for a charge nurse but I am not satisfied with how this pathetic hospital handled it
