Perfect fall weather and everything, trees, trails, leaves, are a warm, inviting November brown. The trails were mostly empty except for a few dog walkers. It was quiet enough to hear the comforting crunch of leaves underfoot. Easily accessible nature adjacent to suburbia. This is a good spot
I have run here a few times on the North Branch trail. Personally my least favorite part of the trail. Maybe because it's been 6 miles, maybe it's the trees. Maybe it's a mystery. But I am not sure fan of this leg compared to the others.
Really great trails and beautiful nature. Havent been there when its been crowded, but theres a lot of parking so I can imagine it must get pretty crowded. Really nice for dogs and kids.
Typical forest preserve setup. A few portapotties and a covered patio.
