One of my favourite places to eat when working on Northbrook area. Usually go for the wood roast chicken and ribs, which I highly recommend, but this time had a fantastic lamb cutlets and mash. Great service. Good range of beers.
Great specials! I usually do carry out which they do a great job with. The handful of times that I've eaten in have always been delightful as well.
I ve been going to this restaurant for at least 20 years now and there wasn't one time when the meal was a disappointment. The only complaint I have is that it is very dark in there and hard to read a menu so if you wear reading glasses bring the strongest ones you got or bring one of those handheld magnifying glass -you will be glad you did. The rest is all great. I love their real mashed potatoes and sauteed mushrooms on the side. And who can say no to the chicken roasted in their signature wood burning oven !!! The waiters are wonderful mature adults who know their menu and can be relied upon for good advice . Overall live this place !
Extremely good chicken and onion soup. My girlfriend and I were staying down the street and wanted something yummy to eat. We ended up stopping here and we were glad we did. We love 45 minutes away, but we will definitely make the trip back here very soon.
Pauline was our server for the evening and she was phenomenal. She was great at guiding us through the menu, ensured that the prime rib was cooked to preference. She is very attentive , professional, great hospitality, and friendly.The prime rib was tender and the fascia was broken down with minimal chewing. Chicken was chargrilled was terrific. Chop steak was buttery and flavorful. French onion soup it was lovely. Rice pudding was rich, crunchy and toffee coated.Would come back again
